Treatment depths of HIFU - GILTII.png

HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a safe, non-surgical and non-invasive ultrasound treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin.

As close as you can get to a facelift without going under the knife. HIFU is considered the "work horse" of skin lifting/tightening as it penetrates much deeper than other treatments. No downtime. The energy stimulates both muscle firming and new collagen production.

HIFU uses your body's own regenerative response to gently lift skin on the eyebrow, jowls, under the chin and on the neck making it one of the most sought after solutions for lax and sagging skin. Now being used for breasts, butt and tummy lifting.

It works its magic underneath the surface to ensure that you have skin that is firmer, more elastic and smoother.

This process can be used to improve other areas of the body too.

A typical treatment can cost from over $1200 in other clinics. We believe in keeping skincare affordable and attainable for ALL. Treatments start as low as $199

The HIFU treatment was a very pleasant and comfortable non invasive facial. I immediately saw radiance and freshness to my skin in the treated area. I look forward to seeing more improvements in the weeks to follow.

Wow, what a difference this treatment makes. HIFU has helped lift under my chin, jowls, upper lip and eyelid area. Noticed a difference with the first treatment.

We'll help you develop a treatment plan that's right for you and your expected goals. Cost from $199 per treatment area.

From 1 - 3 hour treatment time

Arrive well hydrated in loose, comfortable clothing

Expect increased skin temperature and slight redness (gone 24 hr)

HIFU results are permanent and will continue improving gradually for up to six months following the treatment. After six months, your skin will naturally continue to age, however, HIFU can give you fresher, younger skin for about 12 to 24 months after your treatment. Follow up treatments can be done every 3 months in more severe cases, which vary from person to person, but are recommended every 12 to 24 months to maintain results.

Note: No anti-aging treatment is forever. Proper sleep, nutrition and skin-care routine will slow the effects of aging.

Who shouldn't get HIFU?

You shouldn't get a HIFU treatment if you: - Have open lesions or wounds - Have cystic acne - Existing keloid scarring - Pregnant or breastfeeding - Have implanted electrical devices or metal implants in the face or treatment area - Have mechanical or dermal implants - Had Botox or dermal fillers in the previous 30 days - Laser treatments in the previous 30 days

Will I need to take time off with HIFU?

HIFU is a treatment with minimal downtime. Most clients resume their daily activities after the treatment, although we do recommend going home and resting after your treatment for the remainder of the day.

Is HIFU a painful treatment?

It is recommended that you take 800 mg ibuprofen for pain relief during your session. CBD taken orally can work wonders too. Clients that have had microneedling before will find HIFU an easier treatment.

Why do some people not see results with HIFU?

Results can not be guaranteed as each persons response to energy will be different, however clinical studies show that around 90% of clients showed a measurable effect within 6 months after their treatment. The ideal candidate is one with mild to moderate laxity.

Can I get HIFU after plastic surgery?

Yes, 8 months after. Many plastic surgeons recommend treating the face with HIFU once healed from the facelift. A facelift pulls the skin tight but does not stimulate healthy collagen production.

Can you treat the eyelid with HIFU?

No. Hifu is ideal for lifting the skin above the brow which will deliver a lifting effect to the lids. Microneedling is the best treatment for the skin directly around the eye.

How to prepare for a treatment?

Stop any medications that thin your blood, as bruising is possible. If you are unsure about whether your medications are blood thinners, please review this with your GP prior to your treatment. Over the counter medications like aspirin, daily large dose anti inflammatories and fish oil supplements may also exacerbate bruising and should be discontinued. We highly recommend starting arnica, an oral homeopathic supplement which has been shown to reduce bruising and swelling. You should start 3-5 days prior to the procedure and continue for up to a week if you experience bruising. The recommended dose is three sublingual capsules three times daily.

What should I expect after the HIFU treatment? Is there any aftercare?

Here are a few expectations after the treatment: - Reddish swelling, should disappear within 24 hours or less - Treatment sensations may take 24 hour to dissappear - Increased skin temperature (at touch) will disappear within 24 hour or less (you may ice 1 hour after treatment) - Skin may feel itchy - Do not scratch - Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day following treatment - Do not expose skin in the sun for at least 24 hours after the treatment (use minimum sunblock 45 SPF if this can't be avoided) - Warm showers and moisturizers - only after 24 hours - No swimming pools, saunas, massages - 24 hours - No excessive sweating, meaning take a day off from your exercise routine - If the skin blisters or burns, use any anti-scald ointments

When do I expect to see results?

There are two phases of correction after HIFU. The first is collagen contracture, which literally is occuring as we preform the procedure. As a result, many people will appreciate a subtle, but distinct, improvement in their appearance within a few days following the treatment. Ultimately, the more impressive correction is from collagen stimulation, which takes place under the surface for the next 90-180 days. Your body responds to the pinpoint thermal injuries placed in the deep tissue by creating new collagen fibres.
